Hi guys ,
bought this car with B16A conversion already done and the previous owner didn't know much about his car (he bought it like this too)
anyway , i'd like to know abit more on me car as i'm pretty new to VTEC scene
Engine No: B16A50xxxxx
Gearbox: Y1-xxxxxx

Da or a jap crx.....I've got a b16a out of a jap crx and the box is a y1... I'm pretty sure the da gearbox is a ys1

guess it was a auto engine with a gb from another car.

I love my cable box. At least I know my clutch master cylinder will never sh!t itself and leak fluid all over my carpet and need to be replaced...

yeah , that's true. but my gearbox start to show it age and need fixed. hard to get parts and more exxy to repair tho

Nah Wikipedia is obviously wrong, I had to request a correction the other day when I read they wrote b16a2 would redline at 9000rpm lol

Yeah as above Moiz, I think Wikipedia is a little off haha. I know B16's rev a little higher, but not 1000rpm =P

Also to the OP, can you tell us what date is stamped on the head? Just below the valve cover, on the front of the head on the left hand side there should be a date stamped in a little circle like '9/3' for 1993 etc.

Redline 8200 surely. Cut at about 8400.
