Seeking information on track days!

Hey all.

With the new "hoon" laws, you can't get away with anything. I don't want to risk having my s2000 impounded and you simply cannot drive with the slightest bit of enthusiasm on the streets anymore.

So I want to start going to track days next year and I have a lot of questions.

I live in Geelong, and am willing to travel to go to track days.

What tracks have open track days and how often?
Do you need any special licenses to participate?
How much does it cost?
Can you take a passenger?
What happens if you crash?
From what I have heard insurnace doesn't cover you on a track and this is something that worries me greatly.

I know it's a lot of questions, but I bought my S2000 with the thought of going to track days in mind and personally I don't see the point of owning such a great car if you don't take it to the track every now and then.
