Simple answer: YES

most mod plates are around $150 - $250

If the seats are botlted on properly, like u cant make it budge a millimeter * just use your stock bolts and proper rails*
You WILL win that defect, and request for disciplinary action against the officer

I been through the process took 5 hours at MacFeilds and campbelltown station.

I got a mod plate for both my front seats for 100 just a month ago. Seats stick out like a sore thumb, the cop will definitely always see them.

Engineering is more cost effective than a fine :)

its different in nsw. cant just get a mod plate. gotta get it all engineered, looking at thousands of dollars, just for something like seats.

Not thousands... Min like 500 dollars. Depends if its 'legit' or not. Some people dont care, you list your mods and they will engineer them. Others will actuall test it and take photos to cover themselves.

AFAIK, the RTA wiped out all the dodgy engineers a few years ago.
