are the chrome bits on the 03 accord euro grill removable? as i want to get it painted white, or do i have to remove the grill to get it painted? i know the hood chrome strip is removable,
and has anyone got or seen any pics of the stock standard 03 euro grill with all the chrome bits painted white? sourcing out a mugen/cl7 grill out at the moment, but wanna just see how it looks with it all painted and worth doing for the time being? cause seeings as ive have to paint the hood chrome strip anyway later on

There are 3 or 4 screws that hold it in place. You have to be carefull as they break easy.

On the hood. There are small nuts holding the chrome bit on the grille. But you have to take the whole thing out.

Once you pull the grille off you will be able to see the screws holding it in.

from what i just saw on my own then yes the chrome bit on the grill is removable, once you remove the 4 clips and get if off the front bar there should be some small phillips head screws just unscrew that and pop it off
if you want i can take pics

ok, how did ppl go respraying these parts. does the paint stick? did u guys sand it down, or just put the primer straight on top?
hows the color match, esp with the white cars? i went to get my respray done for my lip, but i left him no reference for color, he just went off his head to match, turns out i needed another layer of pearl on top to darken it. got it done, but i don't want to, really, go get the chrome bits professionally painted as i don't really see point in spending money, plus he goes it won't stick.
does the paint out of the can match good? or is it bad? it looks like the 03 models are kind of more yellowy white? too much pearl?
(ive already read the DIY thats up somewhere here, but yeah, i want to know specifically for white), if the color out of the can doesn't match atleast 85% it will get to me

I painted some chrome-plated plastic bits on my last car using off-the-shelf spray cans. Sanded down the chrome a little just to rough up the surface used many coats of plastic primer, followed by more coats of standard primer before using the colour coat. Lasted a good 1 1/2 years with no problems before I sold the car. Haven't seen the car ever since so can't comment on whether or not it's lasted beyond that, but I am confident that the paint sticks just fine.

When i sprayed mine I just went to autobarn paid $25 and got a spray can matched to my car. I sanded back the chrome bits till the shine was gone did 2 coats of primer and did 3 coats of color.
