Hi All,

I have been looking for information regarding the build number which is displayed on a plate below the handbrake lever in the ITR's with no luck.

Is this an AUDM number or JDM number.

How many ITR's were imported into Australia, and how many were built in Japan.

My number is 00-500. I assume that corresponds to year 2000, number 500, but is that purely in Australia, or Japan aswell?

Can anyone please shed some light on the matter?

Thanks.

and to the dc2r owners, does the number on your plate under the handbrake got the same number as the engine number and/or the chassis number?
i happened to see one which got the same number (last few numbers0, eg. XXXX123 on the plate, engine and chassis number, is this possible?
coz i have only seen one like this, and all the rest (lots of them) got diffferent numbers

The numbering is specific to the AUS batch. And no they don't match the plaque to the engine/chasis number. Must be just coincidence. My chasis and engine codes match as well (last 3 digits), but not the plaque.

Mines sept 99 and is 00-0200. I think all '99' R's in Aus are MY00 cos they were released late in 99.......
i think
