Hey guys,

Recently did an engine replacement on my EG hatch

D16y1 running Hondata s300
High flowed injectors
Bosch 044 fuel pump
t04e turbo setup w/ ext gate
etc etc

Seems it would not run with the old tune map it had on the car before the new motor was fitted (will not idle/seems to misfire - unsure why). I have since just ran a base map so the car is drivable. However because of this it is not tuned for boost and will hit boost cut at 1psi.

I can't get the car in for a tune till late next week. Anybody have any decent turbo d16y1/z6 maps for a similar set up that I can run until the car is tuned?

Or perhaps any tips/tricks so I can get it running on boost (very low boost, say 1-3 psi but just so it does not hit boost cut and is drivable on throttle).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,
Ben

why not just drive off boost untill u can get a tune? if ur boosting than u got a heavy foot

U shouldnt even be driving around with out a tune imo, my mate done it for a week, scary but just gotta be careful, as long as u can get A to B, u should be fine, but once u get a full tune than fang it all u want

And remember, just because someone gives u there tune, doesnt mean it will work for you... they will have a different setup, different turbo etc etc... every car will have a different tune to the other, good or bad, the only real way to make the most of it, is to tune ur ecu to ur motor

my 2cents :)

I dont intend to drive on boost often. However hitting boost cut at 1psi is proving to be a huge annoyance when overtaking or similar.

I am still looking to drive the car off boost until it is tuned for 99.9% of the time.

Strange that the old tune which is the identical setup wont run though :/

Download Smanager (the interface PC software for hondata) then also download a program called team viewer. Team viewer is a program that will allow a person to take remote control of your laptop. Therefor... Inferface you Pc with your Hondata ECU, then get your tuner to log into / take control of your laptop and look over your hondata settings through smanager etc. May be as simple as ticking / unticking a few box's

Good luck.... and with all respect... i dont think anyone would want to give away a copy of their map especially if it cost them countless hrs of dyno time and coin etc...
