the black covers on what? the 4 piped thing? or what ive never given much thought to where the valves are...
but i think they are under the 4 piped thing, it should be alloy or a really solid plastic (got a feeling its alloy on the jazz though)

yeh those covers. i think they bolted on somewhere cant find. i just wana spice up the engine bay see how clean i can get it :D
will doing all this reduce the engine heat too?

The big plastic tube that has 4 things sticking out is the intake manifold, its connected to the throttle body which is then connected to the Air intake.

i think it will be a pain to remove ive never done it, i might after i get the Weapon R intake manifold (they look really shiny)
being that theres less dirt will help it lose heat, but the difference would be negligible, as your engine isnt that dirty really, just don't go chrome-plating parts of your engine, try keep it clean. thats it, chroming would probably reflect the heat inward.

but if u want get high temp chrome spray pain and paint the bottom half of the black pipes, it will make it look more neat just like the 1st pic, if you dunno which part i mean ill circle it ahaha

I think the gear ratios on the auto feel better then the manual gear box this is comparing my 2002 VTis manual to my wifes 2007 vtis auto

Does the air filter & strut bar make much of a difference to performance?

yeh it makes the gd3 noticable stiffer on the front. and the SRI is really for noise, im struggling to hear my exhaust over my engine suction now.

do u mean in 7speed mode?

because the auto jazz doesnt have any gear ratios being cvt n that
