Got a new clutch going in to a 05 Accord euro (96,000km's) as the original one just started completely slipping. Just going to have the stock flywheel machines and refastened. My question is , is it ok to re-use the old flywheel bolts just using some loctite? I understand that alot of people beleive you should replace the flywheel bolts with new ones each time but I'm sure alot of mechanics don't.
The part number for the bolts are 90011-PNA-B00 and i beleive these are 12x1.0 mm, Can anyone provide the length of these bolts?
When new bolts are tightened for the first time my understanding is they are stretched beyond the yield point. So when they are loosened they have plastic deformation and thus when retightened are considerably weaker than installed on first application.
Is this enough to cause a failure?
If i must use new ones any ideas on where i could source these bolts (not at a dealership) relatively quickly?
Cheers
