Hi guys,

A mate of mine installed a new stereo in my car today.

When pulling the old head unit out, snapped the male part off the radio antenna cable.

Can anyone tell me if this is going to be a pain in the a$$ to fix?
if so, is there anywhere i can go to get it fixed cheap?

Please no stupid replies, im just looking to get this fixed asap.

<EDIT>
Its just the pin out of the middle of the plug (like the tv antennas)
so its just going to be easier to replace the whole cable?

FYI you can replace the plug if your competent with electronics or know someone who is. The connector is called a "Motorola connector" IIRC. You can get them from jaycar and i think there is a jaycar up in townsville. Just take off or cut off the old one and add in the new one, they have solderless ones if you dont have an iron :)

Nothing a bit of heatshrink and solder can't fix with a new plug

ICE = in car entertainment, in other words he moved it to the correct section.

as for jaycar, you can just get a replacement plug and either solder it or buy one with a connector
