Hi all, I have an import '94 b18c1 and my water pump has packed it in so it is currently being fixed, however, when the guys tried to get a new pump the only one they had in Adelaide was for a 95 aussie spec Vtir b18c2. Seems the bolt holes are all ok but the new pump didn't come with the two dowel pins that helped to hold the old one in place and regardless the new pump's dowel holes are slightly smaller than the old one's. So what do i do? the shop can get a pump for a '94 Vtir from melbourne but if its not the same as the old one its gonna cost me a bit, and does it come with new dowels? or can the old ones be re-used? and why the hell is there a difference between b18c water pumps!? I am not gonna just put it on there without the dowels cos if the pump moves at all its gonna affect the timing belt and thats gonna cause all sorts of trouble. Thanks!
