engine power loss =[[

hey guys,

recently i installed DC2R rear lcas on my eg, and the muffler was banging on the arm, so i went and got the muffler rerouted. after that job was done, i installed an eg5 rear sway bar and it was tapping on the muffler again....FML.

but anyway, i thought i'd take it back to the muffler shop to ask them to check it out, turns out it was a shitty muffler in the first place and i was advised to get a new one seeing as the fibreglass inside or whatevs was effing up.

so my question is, is my muffler the reason for my power loss? i dont recall having much of a power loss issue before i did all this crap to my muffler. and yeah ill be getting a new muffler soon anyway cos the bloke said it was old and worn out.

any help appreciated !!

Dont think you'd be experiencing much power loss if the exhaust was re-routed (assuming piping size is the same and not much longer)

But no affence, i reckon the exhaust shop ripped you off. If he re-routed your old muffler, couldnt he tell you it was a shitty muffler in the first place?

Should have just got a new one or even a 2nd hand one.
