Hi i just wanted to ask this quick question about the front discs, these are from a DC2, as you can see in the pic the part highlighted is all bent. I want to replace them if anyone has some for sale but is it necessary to keep them on? Im guessing they are for brake dust or cooling purposes.. thoughts..http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g381/dangerjbl/disccover.jpg

They're simple a dust cover/stone guard.. If you don't wish for rocks/sticks/whatever to become jammed inbetween your pads/disc then i'd probably suggest leaving it on.
But that said, you could probably drive it just fine for the rest of the car's life without them.
In terms of cooling purposes, they shouldn't make a great difference on or off as the vents in the rotor are on the external edge

Lots of people don't even bother using these, they just take them off, but if you can bend it back a bit (and make sure it doesn't touch the rotor) it should be fine and functional.

Cool cool yeah as i thought thanks guys i just like a second opinion while im doing my build to make sure its done right the first time, id prefer to leave them on so i will try and straighten them out a bit if i cant find a decent replacement.
