hi everyone,

ive just been told today that my diff in my auto transmission has some movement in it as everytime i turn and accelerate, theres a clonking sound. I just got a reconditioned auto last year and im about to run mild boost. Ive got a 92 prelude with a h22a engine in it, does anyone know anyone that can replace/ strengthen my diff? i payed 1750 for a reconditioned auto last year and dont really want to pay for it to happen again. the gears dont slip or anything like that so i dont think those will be need to be touched, please let me know

cheers

poor auto

I would convert to manual. the AT wont hold the power of a turbo. you will spending another 2k quite regularly if you stay auto with boost.

I think the words Auto, Diff and cheep dont go well together.

how do we convert to manual? apart from buying a car

chnage the AT box out for the MT box
install Clutch master cylinder, lines hoses and slave cylinder
install clutch pedal and MT brake pedal
change selector to MT from AT and install MT selector cables
change the cluster
change the cabin loom for the MT loom ( or disable the AT ECU and wiring )
its not hard to do if you have a donor car to source the bits.
