http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GAB-HA-Series-Coilover-Suspension-Honda-ACCORD-CL-CM-/330552182267?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf67205fb#ht_901wt_905

Never heard of them.IMO dont mess around with no name/unproven coilovers, shocks, springs etc.You drive on them every day and if you're not happy with them it's an expensive exercise to change.

GAB coilovers, thy are more widely known in the Nissan/Subaru tuning scene, lots of skylines/WRXs rock them.

They are Japanese I think and I've yet to hear anything bad about them.

they're bloody cheap, how are they compared to something like buddyclub. or bc racing? cos they're about half the price!

I also found these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/COILOVERS-Acura-Integra-NSX-Civic-TL-RSX-Honda-Accord-/110615700606?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19c135a47e#ht_10415wt_905

Good enough for street and light trackwork. I think the Gab HA series is more pointed towards street and the Gab SSS is more trackwork.

It is a reputable Japanses brand, I'm looking at the HA myself as an alternative to lowering springs, since it only cost 2x as much.

I don't know if it's still the same today, but years ago GABs were rebadged KYBs. :)

yeah dodgy stay away from them. look out for second hand buddyclubs or teins that are being parted out if you're not willing to spend that extra bit i reckon

lolz.. I'd rather buy brand new GABs than used Buddyclubs or Teins... but those other eBay ones.. they may or may not be good.

GAB's are very popular in Japan and are pretty good. I used to have GAB's on a civic and that were made for gymkhana motor racing and their were fairly stiff. I'm not sure about this model though.

Question: what are you after? Comfort or Peformance?

That is pretty cheap and probably a more used brand in eruo's than GAB's. You will need to run a camber kit if you lower it unless you don't mind buying new tyres regularly .

Ive ordered some. Reason why i went with "custom" coilovers is because i want a smooth ride, almost like factory settings with ability to lower the ride. Ill report on how i go once they come and installation is done.

How about tanabe,
the price is good looking around $800 buy from ebay plus shipping like $200 for the beginning level,
and i heart from my friend its quality is not bad too,
its a bit soft so still feel comfortable on euro
at lease it made in Japan, not TW or USA.

Tanabes are pretty stuff sprigs aren't they?
Stock CL9 spring rate I think is Front 5k, rear 3.1k

Tanabe iirc is 8k front, 4k back.

if you get springs, then the shock absorber will probably crap itself within a year or so then you need to get new shock absorbers
That + labour x2.. isnt that much less than new coil overs.

exactly, which is why I'm leaning towards the GABs, for about $750 delivered, and I'll fit them myself, works out cheaper then springs and shockers anyway!

Can these GABs adjust height and firmness? Or just height only?

Rudy

you are probably getting the GAB malaysia ones in that ebay link, not the GAB Japan... 2 different companies, with no connection. Just helps to ask seller where they are made first.. my bet is china.

My number one priority is comfort. I had coliovers in my old skyline and s15 and found them all too harsh for everyday use, even on softest setting.

So if i get same ride or siimilar to sandard, and i can adjust and lower it, ill be a happy customer.
