Hey, Ive noticed that there are threads on quarter miles on S2000.com and S2Ki, but none here. Id love to see some Aus S2000s quarter mile times, along with the modifications to the car.

Couldn't dump with those tyres they sucked big time that's why I only managed a 2.1 60ft.

I'm looking at going back soon hopefully get mid 13's :D

Awesome time phatty, what was your 60ft and mph. 14flat and with a slipping clutch is awesome.

Wahh mods?

I think i could have done better. I played it safe and slipped the clutch on take-off to keep vital organs of the car in-tact..

I might go again end of this year.

My mods are just I/H/E + VAFC

To be honest. I dont really know.. The owner told me it had a 4.77, but after reading the speed readings and RPM threads, ive come to conclusion that its a stock FD.

yea but if the previous owner didn't install a yellowbox then the rpm/speed will appear as normal.

Yea thats the problem. At 90 km/h, the car is on 3000 rpm, and the speed with respects to GPS is less then 1 km/h off...

GPS use to calculate mine wrong by like 5km/hr on a stock car. lol

otherwise, go race someone with a 4.77FD and see how you go in a straight line :D

... There should be a better method.
And what size rims are you running to get 5 km/h off?

using the caclulator the speed of my new tyres would be 0.4% slower than stock.

So dlai5552, just to clarify, you're comparing a GPS measured speed to your speedo?

no, I am comparing with being caught for speeding by an undercover cop as I had the dash turned off and used the GPS for a bit and Police said I was travelling at 5 km/hr over the speed limit, (65 in a 60 zone for about 7kms through Princes Hwy). LOL :( but no fine or anything. This was first week since I had my P's.

From experience. P Plater + S2000 + 1km/h Over speed limit = Fine. If he didnt give you a fine, im pretty sure he was just trying to scare you. When it comes to accuracy i think GPS are as close as you can get. They might be laggy, but if you just drive soft and smooth theyll keep up.
