hey guys so i need upgrade my exhaust

currently b18cR

with 2.5' pipe stock cat and twin loop


im puttin in a varex muffler and was gonna bash out the cat for more flow... is that a wise choice performance wise?

also loud? with varex closed?

Dont do it.
Its illegal.
Smells.
Bad for the environment and wont pass emissions.

Just source around for a hi-flow cat and you wont have to look over your shoulder all the time :thumbsup:

Do not bash cat.

Varex is good for going stealth moed - i do it wheni come home.

Get a header and upgrade the cat - don't even think about gutting it. Leave the rest, it'll be fine.

Metal or Magnaflow are good options. Get a 60mm one, 100cel. Buying a cheap brand 100cel cat could end in trouble, so if you go 100cel get a well-known and proven example.


What twinloop are you running? If it's a Mugen just keep it. If it's XForce it will probably get the job done, but not with the polish of a real JDM muffler.

are the x force hi-flow any good?

its a xforce twin loop atm... though it feels restrictive

varex open is more flow rite...
