EP3R trouble starting

hey guys,

my ep3's been playing up lately. not sure what it is but when i try to start the car, it doesnt start sometimes. i can hear the car trying to start but fails.

not sure what it could be. anyone able to help?

Does it sound like a very bad grinding noise?

nah its not grinding noise. it just sounds like the engine starting as usual but the engine just doesnt load up

so it cranks fine as per usual, just doesnt actually start?

do you know if it sparks ? if it doesnt try replacing spark plugs with correct gapping. if still hard to start, might be coilpacks.

do you have any problems when it idles ? or when ur cruising ? does it misfire ect ?

Does it start and die ?
or
does it keep turning over and wont start ?

No probs idling, doesn't start and die. Just doesn't start. Have to crank it two or three times sometimes. I was thinking it's the spark plugs too

how many k's on your engine ? if you have between 80-100,000kms theyre most likely the factory plugs. which means time for new ones

Try new battery
Check grounds are tight ( on battery , thermostat gearbox etc)
Replace spark plugs as said above

Put a fresh tank of 98ron fuel

Ill get everything done in the next service. Just noticed something new with the car when I put the key in and turn on the battery. Sometimes not all the lights come on - srs, power steering etc lights. That's when the car doesn't start
