hey guys i bought a stock muffler that came off a ek.

but i dont think its a ek muffler. its SO heavy like REALLY heavy 2 - 3 times heavier then a stock eg one. the flange uses a donut gasket type and the inlet there is 2.5" and piping is abt 1.75 i THINK. anyways im wondering where this came off from ? its tip is short like a ek but the number on the back says HONDA SG-517 SANKEI. i googled this to find its off a dc2 and em1. im confused guys what muffler is this off ?

Looks like a muffler off an EG VTi or similar.

the question you should be asking is, why is it heavier, and does this affect anything, and should you put it on

noo i want to know waht this came off because the exhuast shop told me to get the flange from the piping of what ever car this came off.

is not a em1/ej8 lol, there alot longer, the exhaust tip stretchs furthur

Its most likely a eg man, looks exactly like my mates eg stock exhaust :)

for some reason it looks like its off a dc2/4 but see what other says

considering OP posted a part number, someone who has a stock eg/dc exhaust can find out :D

Looks just like my eg5 stock exhaust, I'll have a look to see if the part numbers are the same tomorrow if I get a chance

Definitely not a DC4 exhaust.

if this helps, the piping size is 1.75" whilist the flange inlet part is 2.25 -2.5".

i have 2 of the same mufflers pretty sure don't know about the writing but looks very similar with those tips too. mine were off dc2/4 gsi. hope this helps. i was going to put one on my eg when i sold it off , an exhaust shop can make a little extra piping to make it fit pretty cheap. goodluck
