Igor - go get a mate with a costco membership.

Goodyear wiper blades for $9 each.

i got tridon ones from autobarn, they seem pretty good so far, only thing i dont like is that the wiper arm sits on the top and not the bottom of the wiper blade (if that makes sense)

This thread makes me laff! People need to learn how to maintain their front car Windscreens! A well maintained windscreen works well even with 6 month old single bald super cheap auto wiper blades!

First of all drain/spray out any remaining wiper fluid from your resivior (empty all of it)! Then clean your windscreen with heavy duty detergent dish washer fluid is always good! (get that muck off!) Then rinse off and leave no residue. Wipe down with microfiber cloth.

Next get hot water and news paper go over the windscreen again until it starts squeaking.

Next add RainX windscreen washer additive (yellow bottle avaliable from from supercheap for about $10) to your washer resivior. 1 part additive and 30 parts water or follow instructions on the label.

Replace your wipers including the wiper frame.

Moving forward when ever windscreen gets dusty or dirty spray with resivior fluid and swish the wiper blades.

Once the windscreen is coated with the rainx you'll find you wont even need wipers, water will start beading and just run off at above 60kms/h!

Never use your wipers on a dry windscreen!

i actually removed my washer bottle and cleaned it out with CLR and replaced the motor in it

i use the additive that is at auto1 - little tiny bottle - cant remember the name

pretty much does the same thing tho - rain just beads off my windscreen - i rarely use my wipers

There's a difference between soap windscreen additives (these are rubbish does not assist in beading) and RainX (or similar stuff) RainX doesn't have soap because it isnt designed to try wash your windscreen, but has this ingredient that fills the microscopic imperfections in the glass so that water beads, dirt is harder to stick and when you spray and swish all the crap comes off easily and and coats your windscreen again.

The last time I needed to use my wiper blades constantly was 1 when rain was so light there wasn't enough water on the windscreen for it to run of by it self and 2 during torrential down pour and even then windscreen was clear as after every pass no webbing at all!

I hate webbing (this is when water forms shaped like a web because your windscreen is so dirty or covered in a film of grime that the water can't bead).

Once your done cleaning the out side do your self a favour and clean the inside too. First spray window with windex or similar windscreen cleaner then clean off with a cloth.

Then get hot water with newspaper and go over the windscreen until it starts squeaking IF IT'S NOT SQUEAKING IT MEANS ITS NOT CLEAN! Add more hot water or change the piece of newspaper!

I'm so anal about my front windscreen! It has to be so clean as if the piece of glass doesn't exist and there nothing between my eyes and the road.

I'm using these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320627696850&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_771wt_905

I quite like the backless wipers, they put a good amount of pressure on the blades. and don't be fooled by the green in the pic on ebay, the rubber is actually black, the green is just a protective sleeve they put on the rubber for shipping purposes...

When I got water on my windscreen I hit vtec and it's all gone. When it's raining heavy I just vtec all the way home that way the rain will never hit me. Just too quick!

Oh right wiper blades, never changed them. Oem probably best. Cause it's oem!

The additive method is so much more convenient

No one has mentioned it but I make my wipers last 4 times as long by cleaning the wipers.

grab a medium sized damp cloth & run it down the wiper blade from end to end.

The first run will be blacker than black.

Keep doing this until you are satisfied that the wiper blade is clean. It may take 10 goes to get it clean.

No one ever thinks to clean their wiper blade, just the windscreen, its black so you can't see the grit & grime that is on it.

Bare rubber squeaks so you may want to coat the cleaned blades in graphite powder
