hey guys...
1st problem
i've got a creaking noise coming from under the bottom of my car... sometimes its coming from the front right sometimes its from the right rear... but most of the time its from the rear... usually happens when i turn and go over a bump or accelerate hard in 1st - 3rd (4th gear and above i dont hear it)
...
2nd problem
my speedos' bushwacked#*(@&$!&~!!!
goes 0-40 ok... but then above 55 the needle bobs all over the place....
how much will it cost me to diagnose/fix these problems... and place you guys can recomend...
appreciate any advice...

No one here will tell you how much it will cost because no one can know for sure what the problem is, only to guess. Best bet is to go to your mechanic, from what it sounds problem No.1 is not engine related and might be something to do with the suspension part. If your on coilovers, then this might be a common problem where you have set your ride height at the lowest posible. If thats the case then just raise it slightly. Problem No.2 is probably not that big of a problem from the sounds of things.

I have same problem with the speedo rare time. Not a big trouble mate. Maybe our car too fast. Hee Hee.
do you change coilover??
Yea i got the same problem with that creaking noise in my teggy....just when i come out of my garage and go up the driveway it makes a creaking noise on my side....
Maybe the same issue?
I don't think it comes from the suspension but more from the body frame....

I had a creaking noise coming from my Civic.
Turns out it was the resonater touching the heatshield under the car, maybe a far shot for you, but just an idea :)

go under the car
tighten all the bolts on the lcas and swaybar links
usually when these come loose slightly they creak

Hey Toan, your tacho prob could be the ignitor in your dizzy. I had that prob with my before my dizzy failed. The tach would just bounce all over the place. When i swapped my ICM it was fixed

There is a creaking noise in my old 90 Accord, it happens when i drive the car for the 1st 5 or 10 minutes. I believe its the shocks........ the outside part of the shock is not oiled up if you know what i mean. After driving for a while it will move up & down and lube up the piston and the noise will disappear.
With the speedo, i don't know if the Integra's are electronic or cable.
If its cable then the cable is a bit shonky, usually a good spray of RP7 will fix it.
I don't know about electronic speedo's.
I had a creaking noise coming from my Civic.
Turns out it was the resonater touching the heatshield under the car, maybe a far shot for you, but just an idea :)
Yea i took my resonator out as well
Who knows???

still no joy...
i got the same issue.creaking noise coming from somewhere on under the drivers side! It only happens on 1 driveway tho which is at a slight angle and when im turning left into it
Interesting thing is there is a small dip in the road before the driveway.........from what you guys are saying i think it could well be the sway bar attachments........may need to lube it up and see what happens...
"WD40 over to ISLE 3"
Keep us posted if anyone finds a solution!

the thing that turns the speed cable to electrical signals is called a "transducer", excuse my spelling.........
i had to replace it once

15-02-2005, 05:48 PM
how much bludger... where did you source it from???
thats the thing about mechanical break downs i hate... could be anyone of a number of problems (all simple enough to fix) but buy wrong part = end up wasting $$$....
gonna see hondwreck and imachs when i got 30 mins

sorry for my late reply.
i had to replace it in an accord 90'
i took te car to an auto electrician and he diagnosed it as the transducer after 2 hours
he said $230 second hand or $300 (can't remember clearly) brand new
i took the second hand option, worked perfect after that..........engine light stopped going on and speedo working again
he gave me my old part back too
