Hey guys,

Anyone who owns or who has owned a DC5s... Just wondering if you could tell me some fuel details..

i.e. Fuel Tank Capacity....How Many Kms per tank... What kind of driving you were doing.. What fuel you used..

Thanks.

I drive it hard daily
and a full tank will last 10 -12 days before the light goes on
haven't actually work out the exact number
I feel it is more efficient than my previous car which is the FD1 civic ( a full tank only last 7 days with the same sort of driving)

^saying that is useless. 10-12 days means nothing to anyone except you - how far are you driving? How hard are you driving? cold engine driving? highway driving?

Also, there is no way in hell it is more fuel efficient than a FD1 when driven normally... I drove a FD1 for 3 years and got usually 8L/100km from it. You're out of your mind

OP, you get around 1-2L/100km more i find. the FD's rated at 6.9L/100 combined, but i drove short distances a lot so i don't count

they're based on stadnardised tests which are supposed to represent real world driving... so add on 1-2.

how can you go off days? that doesnt mean shit.

how do we know if you drive 100km a day, or 5km a day.

hmmm great reference... a full tank will last me a month or so with the lights not even on....

anyway enough of jokes.. ard 10L/100km city driving probably 410/420 a tank

well, if u get 10L/100km, you'll get 500km out of a tank before it runs flat out, probably 400 when the light comes on

pigcheap, the only worse thiing you could have done is told us that the tank costs $xxx to fill up (which everyone seems to do)

Got a dc5r here, I get around 450-490kms per tank. I give it a bit of a squirt every now and then, but I usually drive it gently and shift around 2.5k rpm.

I get just over 600km in DC5S, mainly freeway driving.

I typically get 10L/100km. Usually 150km is highway driving, the rest is somewhat hard driving ... Shifting at 4-5k rpm.

I normally gwt 450-500 km with the light
On. That is the first 250 shifting at 3k rpm, and the second 250km is with quite some vtec. Not mad

Reckon.

If u want a good reference to fuel consumption. Ileft the big caltex in casula before jumping onto the m5, i just got a full tank of bp ultimate. Drove down the wakefield, did 5-6 sessions all in vtec band, drove home. Made it back to liverpool with light on.

10-11L/100km. Don't know how some people get 600km a tank?? I probably shift later than most but don't thrash it all the time.

10.5-11L/100km -Street (with VTEC)

8.5-9.5L/100km - All Highway

^^ Proven.

The most km on 1 tank, 653km when i did a great ocean road run, no stopping, 6 hours of straight driving with windy roads!
