Hey

I recently installed some tri y style headers with 2.5" collector on my b18c2. I can feel some improvement in the mid and top end however i am surprised by the sound of these. Car sounds completely different. There is no exhaust leaks but they are extremely loud.

Anyone have similar experiences?

strange - headers dont usually effect sound much at all
also the increase is usually in low-mid torque lol

Yes they do...
Tri Y's make the engine sound like a Subaru

I got hytec try y's, I wouldn't say they sound like a Subaru, no burble but definitely loud, especially with a Reinhard catback

All i have is a type r b pipe with bodgy canon on the rear which i had originally anyway. Going from aus spec type r headers and cat to the tri y style has made the car sound like a wrx with a saw throat lol

yeah I try that one on my 98 civic... It gives more horsepower it suck exhaust gasses from each cylinder and increase air flow leads to an increase in power.
