Hi guys I'm not really new on here been a member since start of 2009 lol but i thought I should introduce myself/my car and get to know some of you.
I'm from Wollongong NSW and currently study PE Teaching, my ride is a re 93 del sol.
The car is turbo charged running a custom garrett/turbonetics turbo the engine is decompressed running forged pistons and rods + arp bolts. I'm running the car now on about 4-5 psi on the daily sometimes on 8psi, the motor is built to handle 20psi all day safely however when you can't get the power to the ground there's no point!
That's what I'm working on atm, I've got a qauife LSD coming and billet driveshafts which i'll be installing in the next week likely and I have a bunch of parts from the US including tein flex coilovers, 22mm rear swaybar, ebc slotted rotors front and rear + red stuff pads, mishimoto black intercooler (stealthier lol), boost and oil pressure gauges and probably a few other things i can't recall.
I'm also about to order some Enkei RPF1's (16x8) so i can fit some good tread, prob looking at getting falken rt-615's on them. the only other things I'm looking at doing in short term is some billet engine mounts and i wanna get rid of the gay bodykit my car came with and replace it with a more conservative mugen kit. Oh and I wanna do a dc2r brake upgrade on the front.
Car is a bit of a money-pit but I love it lol. I do all my work on my cars so that saves a fair bit of money. This is the third honda I've had, my last car was an EK hatch and in 2009 i had another del sol. I've also owned two s13's an audi s3, 3 swift gti's (one turbo) a bmw 318i (hurl) and a toyota starlet lol. I love my FWD's!
I notice a few people don't rate the del sol and give it slack however i believe it's a great chassis and it's very underrated, has a great motor in it too.
