Is it alright to put dot 5.1 fluid into the clutch master cylinder fluid, or should i stick to 4.1 lemme know :) thanks

You should never mix brake fluids.

If you have flushed the system use DOT4 or DOT5.1 (not DOT5 and I don't believe there is a DOT4.1) solely.

If you're just topping up the master cylinder use what ever was already in there.

ye im flushing it, not topping it up. So DOT5.1 is alright? i don't have braided lines or anything just stock..

yes it is okay. I think a lot of people (most) are using DOT4 though, or castrol's Super DOT4.

ye most do use dot4, but it seems to go shit in my car dies out in 3months and my clutch feels spongy, too much water absorption or something.. and Aus, i did read it but i was making sure you understood ;) thx
