get a eaton m62 or if u wanna push massive booste a m90 the m90's came on toyota tundra's cant rememeber wat the m62's were on but u can get em off ebay for well under a 1k aud. me if i had more then small change i would buy a vortech cenctrifugal blower and intercool it . basicly the same as turboing tho. u dont get that low end touque on a centrifugal blower like u do with a roots bloower like a eaton.

tundra is basicly a hilux but with the 2uzf-fe v8 in it they only out in america but theree are shite loads of them on ebay. i was gonna get a m112 for my toyota soarer b8 project. but im gonna be going the centrifugal route now.

You can get the little toyota blowers that push about 5psi at best. $300 would not get you much of a charger, my advice would be to have a look at anyone that has kits etc or go the turbo route as you will easiy make more power that way.
as JR says, turbo will make more power and really is a better way of going about it.
If you really want you'll need something a little bigger than the SC12 or SC14 chargers that people usually put on 4 cylinders as they wont make a lot of power. The tundra blowers may be a touch big, but i havent heard of anyone using them on a Honda so might be worth a go.
You wont need to touch the internals unless you are going for a spastic amount of power
