Yet to be fully tuned on dyno. Searching for a good tuner in Perth is hard. + I'm waiting on some important fuelling components to come.
For Hondata, I'm using stock OEM ECU with K-tuned dual harness and an RSX-S PRB ECU with the K-Pro upgrades.

How's the fuel consumption with the K-tuned dual harness? any idle issues and worth your money?

Holy shit! Hardcore build man. Massive respect!
With the different gear ratios, wont your speedo be out quite significantly?

Fuel consumption is better actually, Zero issues at all with the Harness, K-tuned lets you adjust idle speed in the K-manager software.
Worth the $$$$ for sure.

Yep but only by a small amount. Not that it bothers me anyway.

I really couldn't be bothered getting my tripod/trigger out because my garage is pretty dark around this time of day, so sorry if the pics aren't great.

*UPDATE
Oh hey Hannah!
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/nyan-cat.jpg
nyan nyan nyan nyan
Have lost my mind lately and been secretly buying parts for the next phase of performance for the car and thought it's time to update the thread with what's on it's way in the next few months.
Was going to hold out on updating until i'm bolting everything up and it's been tuned but that's another post later on.
As far as the Hondata ecu setup was going, it's all up and running with no drama's for the last few months but i haven't yet decided on a tuner, When the time comes i'll get Joel from Driven in Singapore to fly out and do it.
April 2011
My car hadn't moved out of the garage in months so i kept a Sunday free to take it for a run.
Unfortunately for me, when i returned home i noticed a fluid leak at the rear of the car... A nice oily one, FML somethings wrong.
jacked car up and found that the Tanabe coil over on the drivers side has begun to leak... Shit's got less than 5000km on them!
Replacement time, Since i already had a full set of genuine Spoon arms under there i thought it logical to get the coil over designed to work best with them
*note, these aren't my photo's.
Just ones off net for ease as i can never be bothered getting my camera out when stuff arrives
Spoon Full-spec coil over system (F12k R8k)
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/full-spec-damper-kit-1290435613.jpg
Their in and a lot harder than the previous ones and I'm glad i have comfy seats or else my spine would be f**ked
What started in May 2011
Sold my NA parts which eventually arrived and went a different route
The boost route
Iv'e had many built NA Honda's in the past but they were all light hatchie's.. Not a 1390kg luxo barge.
Comptech supercharger kit to suit 06 CL9 manual with 3.15" (8psi) pulley.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/i-955bca5b-3e6b-46a4-bdf2-9e8f5fbf4db9-800.jpg
The tensioner's supplied with the kit are junk apparently so i opted for the MercRacing billet Auto-tensioner which relocates the OEM power steering pump and uses the stock Honda tensioner. Not only does that stop belt slip/shredding it let's me keep my J's Racing ETD
MercRacing tensioner bracket
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/bracket.jpg
Fair enough having a nice whiney blower is ok but what about reliability and cooling?
Bring in the Snow Performance stage 3 water/meth injection system.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/202ffd45ba37106ac80807456e7c.jpg
I originally got the stage 2, but for ease of tuning and safety i upgraded to the stage 3 which has a nice little digital controller which lets me use a 2-stage linear injection (2 nozzle) mapped directly from boost pressure/fuel injector duty cycle + rpm as-well as the "safejection" module to notify me when the juice is getting low in the tank and will automatically switch ecu maps back to a safer tune along with visual/audible warnings.
Speaking of injectors, the Injector Dynamics 725cc items
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/ID725-K.jpg
I got these with Teal coloured seats to match the J's SPL valve cover.
Chemical cooling is great for 60%-WOT but what about just daily use?
MercRacing Aftercooler kit with remote fill tank and upgraded Bosch pump
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/CTAftercoolerKitwithBosh.jpg
So cooling, Fuelling are covered. What about ignition?
Okada Projects coil packs.
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk172/siwood22/pd4002701r1.jpg
$150 more than OEM coil packs and a lot better.
So that's where it's at currently, So keen for all this stuff to arrive and to get into fitting it all up + tuning.
The Toda 40deg VTC intake cam gear i fitted when doing the valve cover and suspension.
Planning on moving the battery to the boot and using the space for an oil catch can and for the after cooler remote filler.
All this should be done over the next 3-odd months hopefully but I'm changing jobs and need to get a daily for the new one as i won't have a company car anymore.
+ I'm buying another house which i hope has a shed where i can plug away with it un-disturbed so it may be more like 6 months until tuning time.

Anyone can buy a blower and bolt it on, but if you want to do it right you will need all the supporting hardware.
Add it all up and you could easily buy a B18C EG civic.

very nice man love it ! can i ask where u got your euro r front and back lip from ?
JDMConcept, Leo bent over backwards for them, Although when you buy the lips you Don't get the mounting hardware to fit them
That i ordered from honda myself after putting a extensive list together. Which i then forwarded to Leo for future sales.

You can ask, but I'm not going to put an expected figure on it.

Well cars mechanically sound, zero issues with the kit/install.
Actually easier to do than a header swap.
Been working on the tune today, started off by setting a "over boost cutoff" at 2psi.
Drove around and data logged, came home and adjusted the fuel/ignition tables across 0-40deg cam advance to remove any high arse AF/R spikes (at one point I got 16.4:1!!!!! Super lean)
Partial throttle is now safe, idle is 14.0:1, cruise at light throttle is 13.0:1
Tomorrow I'll slowly increase my boost cut a point at a time and tune each point until I get to the 10psi boost level @7500rpm.
Have been surprised how easy K-pro is to tune on the street alone. Every tuner in Perth backs away from Hondata for some reason. (their homo)
See how it goes!

Kpro base tune is for basic mods i/h/e. Wont work well with forced induction with that much air coming not enough fuel engine bye bye. But for basic mods base rune is sweet
shmivic
08-12-2011, 10:43 PM
Partially correct Snypz, hondata supply a plethora of different base maps to suit a wide combination of engine combos.
All are pre-loaded in K-manager software too. Download it off Hondata website and have a look thru it all.
Mine ran sweet as with all the NA Parts and an untouched TSX basemap for months.
I started with the CTSC 5psi hondata base map because it seemed to start the car better than the rest.
I found it to be very lean at low rpm, so I started from there and worked my way thru.
Boosts very strong and safe now. Cars completely different!

I can recommend you one very good e-tuner from http://flashprotuning.com/, search guy with nickname VitViper. It has very good reputation accross all USA and even Europe, you just provide him 3 gear WOT logs (start in 3rd gear from 2000 rpm and hit till floor when you reach rev limiter) and he do tune for you. And it cost only 200 USD ;)

Thats pretty much what I've been doing myself, as well as alot of partial throttle off boost tuning.
Honestly it's going well, a little rich on startup but otherwise it's ok for know.
Thanks though.
I see your another one who saw the light and forgot Flashpro and went a "proper" ecu combination!

Ming I've been building Hondas for a long time, all DIY and close
To ten years now.
The euro is one of the top Honda platforms to base a build from once you research the chassis/suspension/engine and aero.
I have OCD when it comes to genuine rare, quality JDM parts. Most importantly the part that are proven ie: Toda/spoon/mugen.
Just my opinion but it's the only way to build any car .

I agree,
ATM I'm building up a J's Racing Accord Euro but probably going to take my time as I have to transition to a new euro base soon (as this euro I have atm aint staying long).
So far got the good old bolt ons done already but holding off on the header as the K20 headers we have to modify the subframe...
How are your spoon coilovers?? Might be going for the calipers and coilovers soon and mugen will only be the aero parts for me haha don't really like the mugen performance for the euro...

Cars been tuned,
Clutch slipped its way to 278hp @ 7500rpm with 6psi registered.
Torque is at 296nm at 3000rpm then holds steady to 5000. After that it drops due to clutch.
Tuners estimates there is 20odd hp waiting in clutch and 3" exh.
Still yet to get to 10psi and methanol injection.

Jtunes ok, I'd rather a custom piece.
My thoughts are to get the Fujitsubo power drainer re-made as a 3" item.

Should mention here the final figures I made with stock bottom end, (7600rpm) and 40deg vtc, 8psi and water/methanol injection was 386whp/ 338nm
