Hi gents

I have a small issue with my new car (EG Si with B18c7)

The illumination on the air con module/unit does not light up. Nor does the hazard switch or clock dim when i turn my park lights on

Things to note:
- Cluster lights work and dim fine
- All fuses are good

I have had this exact same problem with my previous EG B16A so it seems to be a common occurrence with converted EG's

I haven't had time to diagnose any further, just wondering if there is a common simple fix before i pull out wiring diagrams ??

thanks for any help
steve

Illumination power passes through No.19 (10A) Fuse in the under-dash fuse box to the Dashlight Brightness Controller and then onto the Hazard Switch, Heater Control Panel, Gauge lights, etc.

Test for power at the fuse first - you'll most likely have 12v there if your gauge lights are working. Then work your way back to Hazard switch plug and Heater control panel, test for power on the Red/Blk wire. If you're getting 12v there then your bulbs need replacing.

Engine conversions don't have anything to do with the dash lighting..

I had this problem before, I played a little bit with the wires, unplugged /plugged it again and all working. So check the Wires not to be damaged
