hey guys recently got my em1.. ive gone through all the general servicing from trans oil.. motor oil.. coolant power steering.. and realised you can change the fuel filter quite easily..

wanting to know if those that have done it have seen a great improvement in fuel economy??

Cleaner fuel = better combustion = less fuel required to make same power output

Every two years for the petrol filter. They dont go dirty that easy.

Depending how often u drive ur car; if its daily then once a year would be good to avoid it plugging up.

You would get better performance/better fuel economy if the fuel filter was marginally blocked. Reason is our engines are slightly rich from factory and being blocked would make it more lean/correct afr. Of course we should not play with it this way though.

I don't think that would make a difference. The fuel pressure reg is there for that.

Sent from my custard cannon like Peter North.

ok i changed the filter this morning..

it looks better cause its now black as opposed to the old silver/copper colour it was... during the swap disconnected the battery so not sure if my 7.5hp increase was from resetting the ecu or the filter upgrade

obviously theres no way to see if theres any improvement but certainly peace of mind!

hey VT3C hows it going bro long time no see! i msgd you that time RE your rims for this car.. pics - http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?136604-Em1-civic-roll-call!!/page10

hrm.. will u be tracking it ?

I dont like BC personally but they arent that bad as sw ome people make out - only as bad as D2/K-Sport etc as they're from trh same factory.

I run Cusco Zero2 and are VERY VERY happy with them over my otehr coilovers before (Jamex, Vision Technica) ..

y cusco's with 10kg/mm FR and 8 RE Springs arent too bad for street (compared to my hard-ass visions) but IMO a tad soft for track.
