Hi Guys,
Been getting this clicking noise around the engine bay area this is when the engine is warmed up and during idel. Took the S2k to a local mechanic to investigate and narrowed it down to around the Vtec Solenoid Area. Did abit of research on google and concluded that it is likely to be the so called TCT (Timing Chain Tensioner) or Cam Chain Auto Tensioner (based on honda service book).
Has any one come across this problem? and how much to get it replaced? I've called up a honda service parts in Vic and they priced at $349 supply only.
Any comments will be appreciated.

Cheers,

No service interval. Should last the life of the engine.

Ye got mine from cfl and was quoted the same as u from Honda. They ship pretty quickly to and easy to communicate with. Do a search on youtube for TCT noises with the s2k and see if u can marry up that same noise u hear from u engine to those clips.

Ya.. pretty much the exact same noise. Do you know roughly how much the shipping cost was? Cheers,

I saw a repair guide on s2ki and pretty much all you do is sandblast the worm gear inside the tct. Not sure how effective this is though but looks easy enough I'll try it this weekend for fun. And yeah $340 from Honda freaking rips! Shipping cost is $40 from cflhonda also btw I just bought one and eta is 28th September so it's seems pretty quick and meh $120 can't go wrong

You can also send in your old one to this guy on s2ki... I don't remember his screen name atm, but his the s2k guru.. garantees it for life, sends you a rebuilt one with the mod... Wasn't too expensive either. Something "Bill" I think it was..

But seriously, any sandblasting firm will do it for a beer.
