going by what Engin09 has said and the fact that he's reconditioned his starter motor, has a aftermarket bonnet on there, has a lightened fly wheel. it may have been lowered and restored to original height for sale. interior is worn down nicely. He's obviously had some fun with this car. not sure if mileage can be rolled back on these babies. Be sure to feel for any vibration or unusual sounds in the driveline. CV Joints may be on their way, Spark plugs could be on their way, has it been regularly serviced? check the oil. cars need to be topped up regularly other than the service but by the owner. if its below low, and he has been driving it continously, would have definitely caused damage. he's had fun in it and other things would most probably be worn and on their way. Most likely would of been a member of the forums anyway. Only thing that can tell you if it's good is a nice thorough inspection. try to see if anyone in your area from the forums with experience will be willing to help you check it for 50-100 bucks. definately worth it if your serious about buying the car.

i made the mistake of buying mine with no proper inspection and not knowing anything about buying a second hand car and especiialy a S2000. I have replaced pretty much most of the things that could go wrong and still replacing every single part one at a time. CV Joints Axles / Spark Plugs were burnt out / Brake Pads / New Tires / Gearbox and Diff are next. Clear Coat is peeling and have noticed the car has been resprayed before soo most probably been in an accident, my car needs a respray even more now though because its been keyed... Check the paint for Orange peel looking texture and difference in colour from the different panels and bumpers, may have been involved in an accident.

The front bumper has some good scuff marks on the bottom right hand side if you can notice in the front view pic. the number plate cover is dangling off to the side. really wouldnt bother with it to be honest dude. Well not for that price anyway.

Milage is extremely easy to rollback on an s2000... mines on 96000 today and when i sell it i'll have evidence from these posts to show its not been rolled back :) but gut feeling says this car has been, just by the things he has done. Either that or he thrashed the shit out of it and was a very poor driver.

Its kinda funny how so many ppl jump to conclusions. Maybe you're right, but I know someone on this forum thats done shy of 75,000 km on a 2000 yr model, has an am bonnet and has also replaced the clutch. The seller could just be an anal type of person. The only things that would throw me off from going further with this guy/girl is:

1.) The rebuilt starter motor
2.) Located in Blacktown ;)
3.) His/her spelling errors!

just by looking at the ad you can tell that car is not worth looking at for that asking amount. It's digusting in soo many ways. for that amount you'll find a top notch later model s2000

Clutches lasting till 60k km is fine. All depends on the style of driving, some people like to ride the clutch more or dumping the clutch launches etc.

In other words atleast you dont have to worry about replacing a clutch soon =P

The interior is disgusting. The ugly wanna be carbon fibre, black gloss hood on a stocky S2000 that's supposed to have grills for more air flow. ugly black scuff marks on the front bumper. just doesn't have that good vibe.

don't see anything wrong with the interior?
looks like the bonnet is carbon from the pics.

scuffs marks pretty normal for a front end, all it takes is 1 parking mistake or 1 possum to scuff it up good.

It's easy to roll back the k's on any car.. :P

never said the cars worth it just saying the things you pointed out dosen't really make sense.

Don't see how you guys see that it's ugly, it's a stock s2000 with a carbon bonnet which he has the stock bonnet for anyway.

Not saying it's the best condition s2000 around or that I would pay for it just saying it looks like any other 11 year old car with your usual wear and tear it just needs a good clean.

Here's a clean one, but....

Yeah, with vyets on this. The bonnet is just like a j's racing/mugen replica.
Perfect for a pwdjdm, j's racing and/or mugen intake :)

correct me if i am wrong. why would you judge on a starter motor, does it not only start the engine and then release off? they sometimes stick and need to be rebuilt its not a Hoon result

I guess asking for a Service manual would reveal alot about the previous owners.
