Hey guys, im gonna attempt taking of my crank pulley, whats the best way of doing it ? I dont have any access to an air tool, and dunno if a breaker bar is enough. Ive just recently put the engine in, and im not keen to pull it out again just to take it off.

Thanks guys

im pretty sure you can hire 240V (mains power) rattle guns from kennards, coates hire. then get an impact safe bit , then happy days.

have a look on youtube - there are several methods
- breaker bar + leverage (using your own strength)
- breaker bar + jack (let the jack down with the breaker bar in place so that the weight of the car loosens the bolt)
- breaker bar + starter motor (brace the breaker bar and crank the engine without the ignition connected)

just remember shocking the bolt will crack it rather than brute strength
