do it right the first time!
save up abit and wait a while but if your planning on having the car for a while dont compress, im running front and back coils on mine and loving it, money well spent

Get a blow torch, heat the springs up while the car is sitting on the ground, watch it drop infront of your eyes.
But seriously, dont do this.

U could also pick up a set of tein s-techs which give the 1.5" inch drop all around. Still legal height and 1 and a half finger gap i rckn.
Can pick these up for cheap cheap too. tein claim they are designed to be used with OEM shocks but im not too sure, 1.5" drop has a impact on the whole suspension system. But if ur after lowering only, these are what u want! and perhaps upgrade to koni yellow shocks afterwards when ur oem shocks bottom out 30xxx kms later.
Would recomend with the 1.5" drop, grab at least an ingalls rear camber kit. U will get neg camber on the rears for sure. and no other rear camber kits besides ingals as well, simply because their design is fantastic and they dont have ball joints on the ends so wont wear out as quick as the others on the market.
When i picked up my s-techs i paid 200 for the whole set. and another 50 on spring compressor kit.
have had my springs in for a few months now, shocks still are just as firm as they were but i am expecting them to die sometime this year which then ill fit my koni's (i got springs and shocks at different times and just COULD NOT WAIT to see my car dropped), if they dont thats a bonus!

can grab s-techs for cheap on ebay. about 280 inc postage. Lucky for me some poor guy got them for 400 which is a total ripoff and decided to sell as he was moving to grab coilovers. so i managed to pick them up brand new for 200. But either way. good luck,

King sprimgs arent good and will more then likly wreck your shocks... Eibach are good on stock shocks

thats a pretty misleading statement.
Any lowered springs on stock shocks will wreck them over time.

Plus they'll be lower than Kings springs.

For a street car, quality lowing springs + shocks > coilovers as it'll draw less attention from the cops if they ever look underneath.

And? Uneducated cops won't spit chips over coloured springs. But they will defect you for coilovers, purely because they don't know any better.
A defect so small it isn't worth fighting in court.
