tried using "search" and "google" unfotunately couldn't find straight answer, you guys might be able to help me instead.
noticed my b16a won't rev pass 6500 after revving it all the way to 8000 few times, give it a cool down and it will rev all the way to 8000 and will cut to 6500 again afterwards.
oil level and vtec is fine, engages even it if it cuts to 6500.. got CEL 41 on and gives me 22 when everytime it fuel cut, tried replacing vtec oil pressure switch..and tried another p72 ecu..still no good.
41 is 02 sensor primary heater or something..that wouldnt cause the issue right?..
please help!!!

are you using an ecu that used the 2 single wire o2's?

sorry i'm a bit noob when it comes to engine wiring ecu stuffs... heres more info though
the EG was an SI auto -> converted to manual -> then had a Eg6 engine conversion the stock wiring harness with obd1 p72
so from the looks of it, they converted some wires to make vtec and everything else work except the 02 sensor.
trying to get the Eg6 harness from the previous owner however not sure if it will fix both 02 sensor and fuel cut or just the 02 sensor
aharr, it's throwing u into limp mode.. P72 is a b18c2 ecu, u need a p30 for b16. Is the ecu long or kinda square ? If square its jdm and will be looking for a 2wire o2 but your aus si harness is 3 wire (or vice versa).. And from memory one of the pinouts on your harness plug needs to be switched. Is a nkghtmare with jdm v aus wiring. Do a search for my aincient swap thread 'jdm b16a swap into eg5' or something.. Like 6 years ago might be under my old username civicraca lol.

its the squared shape one..same shape as the p30 obd1 i guess ey?.. yea i've looked at heaps of threads from honda-tech and some random vtec forums.. might try looking for that one bro..thanks for the feedback!!
but would having the p72 cause the limp mode?
Limp mode not nesc anything to do with the ECU being P72.. but JDM = yes !
a JDM P72 is from an SiR-G Integra which is practically the same as our VTi-R but these motors run dual-tract Intake manifolds that have a butterfly valve operated by the ECU.
(P73 is Type R integra) I can see no advantage running a P72 on a B16A at all. has the ECU been chipped perhaps ?
FYi you can get JDM P72 and P30 as well as AUS versions with the same name.. the AUS P30 (from Del Sol B16A2/3) is called "P30-G00.." and the JDM version is "P30-J00..."
So it depends on the person that did your swap as to the wiring for the 02 Sensor etc. JDM models also have an ELD Fusebox which you need to convert also or you should have a couple of more codes.. the ELD wont do much apart from throw a code allthough it can cause the motor to run in Open-Loop.
try and borrow an AUS P30 out of a GEN3 CRX and see if it throws up some codes.. write those down.. then slap in a JDM P30 and see what codes IT throws out.. this might help decipher how exactly your wiring has been done.

Thanks bro.. my P72 is a stock one, not chipped. Looking for someone that can fix my P30 ..see if it'll fix the issue.
