hi,

does anyone know anything about installing an i-pod to the Euro OEM head unit AUX input, where to get the cables and where to get them installed?? im located in sydney and FM modulator is not an option cause they are crappy.. i heard that once installed it can be controlled using the steering wheel controls.. is this true?

oh.. and how would one hook up an amp to the head unit.. for subs

dont know about the iPod but to hook a sub up to the stock deck, you will either need to get an amp that takes speaker line inputs or buy some line output converters which convert your speaker wire outs into RCA plugs that you can plug into most amps.

You may be better off getting an aftermarket deck installed as the sound will be cleaner.

Alpine has the KCA-420i iPod interface, but it's made for Alpine head units only.

Got my KCA-420i fitted now and it works a treat.

Only problem is the scrolling text display when searching for a song is very slow on the display. (might have to read inst.)

When i get car back from service i will post some pics. (not that its exciting, black cable plugs into ipod lol woopdedoo)

As far as pluggin ipod into factory deck u will need some kind of adapter (rca-honda) as honda made it difficult by not having good ol RCA inputs for AUX.

Hey EUR.09N,

Perhaps you could look into this option. It might be a bit expensive but it can be operated as part of your original sound system which means you could operate you iPod on your steering wheel!

I hope this helps.
