PMSL... that is only if your VTAK falls off! :D

Proper maintenance is everything! I would not expect a DOHC VTEC engine to give any less than 200-250 thousand km with proper servicing before getting tired. Also I would be happy to say that wear and/or loss of power if proper maintenance is done would be very minimal at that number of kms... "IF" servicing was followed and you did not treat the car like an animal.

If you are a tight ass and don't want to be prepared to spend money on maintanence, don't bother with a honda.

ROFL...omg...... u guys are so slack.

Bigjos, if you stand on your toliet lid on a rainy night and accidently slip, you might be able to design your own, thus making your V-TECK go faster. :)

BTW... what specifically did your "friend" say wears out in VTEC engines?

I take it he was refering to something in the head and valvetrain given there really is nothing much different in the bottom end compared to other piston engines.

on a technical terms, there a black rubber plug at the end of the cam and the VTEC lob. If that leaks oil your VTEC will start to work funny. Just maintain your car and u should be able to go back to the future :D
