Squeaky noise coming from dizzy

i was readings spermz' thread regarding some noise coming from his engine and i didnt wanna hijack it so i am posting a new thread

some people mentiong a squeaky noise coming from the dizzy and i have this problem

it seems like a common problem so could someone guide me on how to rectify it?

soudns like either the main bearing insdie the dizzy is worn out , or possibly the cap + or rotor.

Easy to fix , but get a professional opinion from someone actually looking at your car.

the distributor cap cost prolly about $50 - $80 i think, u can get second hand ones but might aswell get new ones

you need to change the bearing in your distributor if its a metalic squeeky sound,

yep change that bearing asap!!!! mine siezed :/ and made inlet cam jump a couple of teeth on the belt... no damage tho luckily :)
