I had a similar issue when i installed some aftermarket indicators on my CBR. They weren't LED's, just normal T10 wedge that almost every Honda uses in their guard indicators, and yeah they draw less current than the bulbs that were in there. Ended up having to install a new relay to fix the problem

Which CBR do you have?
I had the same trouble with my 06 CBR1000RR. All of mine are LEDs so bit obvious why.

Installed an aftermarket flasher relay which fixed the problem. Plugged straight in and just needed to be cable tied in place.
Think they are designed to flash at the same rate regardless of circuit resistance and stuff like that.
Might be a good $20-30 investment.

It was called a Motrax flash-it relay

Mine has not giving me any problem, even after i change to aftermarket led's, but with relay for sure..
