Hi guys

like most of us on here I want to get a hard top.
as there are many options available I would like some advice before buying anything.

my budget is around 2k but I can have it painted for free through my work so if it were already painted or ready for paint it wouldnt matter.

if I bought a mugen style FRP roof, there is a seller in sydney who has them for $1300 + Freight. but its the roof alone (needs window and fitting kit)

has anyone had their own window made before? or made their own rubber seals kit?
are there aftermarket brackets/latches available.?

ideally I would like the OEM roof though, but they always seem out of my budget.

There's a guy in the Oz section of S2ki who not only made his own rear window, he made two and is selling the other one with brackets/latches too.

You can buy a hardware kit from spyder352 on s2ki... It's by far the best hardware kit i've seen - window, seals, brackets and all.. No bends in the rubber etc.. Quite cheap too.. PM him, I think they go for roughly $350US delivered to Aus.

No probs.

You dont' need anything extra if you want to install the hardtop except for and alot of the following things are dirt cheap (material wise):

- Hardtop
- Rear rubber Seal
- Door Window Seals
- Rear Window Seal
- L/R Mounting Brackets
- Some bolts (comes with the kit)
- Stock Catchers/Latches

Spyder might take his time getting it fabricated as I think he does it to the order, but it's well worth it. Just make sure that the hardtop your getting fits well.

Peace.

are the rubber seals for the side windows something that can be found at a Clark Rubber style shop?

I was also looking at Izzy Brackets. (street kit)

Best if you purchased the kit from Spyder, as it works, and it's cut to fit etc... No mucking around... But if you are really keen, you can probably hunt around for it, I'm sure something will fit - but again, these guys already did their research and already had many successful installations etc, hence you pay them a bit extra for the cheap bits and pieces.. haha

My bad it is in actual fact spyder562.

http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/user/97756-spyder562/

He is a sponser on there, they all deal with paypal only anyway, so it's fairly trustable.
