I saw Autobarn advertising some kits for around $200 (from memory). Don't quote me on that as I can't remember the price or kit's name. If Autobarn have them then Super Cheap Auto probably do too. I can't imagine them being top-quality though.

Found a Viper brand on eBay but it was nearing $300. Whats the go with these cheap ones?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SPY-2-4-Door-Keyless-Entry-Remote-Central-Locking-Kit-/180529740596?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a08693b34#ht_3107wt_909

Heres one from Supercheap

I would probably go with the SCA one :P

Central locking kits are less than $50 from just about any auto parts store?...

You can get a full mongoose or viper or whatever alarm system for $300, keyless entry kits from around $100.

Just get on eBay if you are going to install yourself.

I got mine for $80 from autobarn. If you can install yourself then that's cheap as hell, otherwise they'll install for $100. Or get a member that knows some shit to do it for you like $50. Pretty sure you can shop around and find one for $50ish. The more basic it is, the cheaper and easier to install. Mine just has lock/unlock, no need for flashing lights, or 'beep beep' or 'boot pop' or w/e

Have you considered investing in a dog cage for the back of your car? If you put a big dog in the cage nobody will try to steal your car. It worked well for my hilux.
