Pipe from carbi to motor 92` civic

Hey guys,

I just got a 92' honda civic last night and i need some answers.
Does any one know what the pipe needed between the carbi and the motor is?

I just used a regular radiator house cut to length this morning but its sucking the life out of it and its not doing the job...

Im hoping someone here soon could give me the light of doom to which pipe i need that will not close when the engine is on..

Its cool. I've foundout that that my setup its complete custom.. I'm running a d16y4 with 4x itb's running into the engine.. and its a complete backyard hack with mix and match of parts... its a real screw up and going to cost me more then I payed for the car.. =\

If it's Back yard ITB or watever it is, just buy manifold for d16y4 and put it, 100 -150$. Can you upload pictures of the ITB in here. I would like to see these ITB :).

IF they Done nothing to the head so that's pretty good. Nothing is a big deal, Upload pictures and we can tell you how bad it is?
Btw first you said it is carbie and than you said its d16y4. That's different engine at all .

That's is cool :D. How the car is running ? what's wrong with it ? Which hose is giving you hard time ? You could try High pressure hoses ( EFI Hoses). It is going to be hard ti tune the Quad bike Carbies.

If you want to have it same as before
Get a manifold For d16y4 with gasket, injectors, ecu ( if been changed), wires( if they cut the wires) ... Take these carbies and sell them. Some body would like to have carbie engine
Put the manifold, check all the wiring, hoses. Check the Fuel pressure that it's running at right Psi, because Carbie is using 4-5 Psi and injection use ( I think 45Psi).
Check if they cut any wires to the ECU or if they replaced the ECU.

They've bridged alot of the wires;
Ecu, fuel pump, fuel lines, vacuum hoses, yet it's not running any aftermarket ecu, looks like it's running a fpr and DIY filter and running friggin rich as a mofo

Also running an external fuel pump, and lines, my guess is that it still has the Carby tank and lines in it, and the last owner decided to bridge it out

Maybe, he might need to run an aftermarket ecu, could the ecu be stuck in cold start mode???? Correct me if I'm wrong???

my fuel pressure is showing 8 pound of fuel =(

If you find somebody expert with carbie tuning, it really nice to have this engine with carbies. Need Tune and should be running good. Ecu is not related to carbie any more.

Its not good because its giving me issues.. i cant idle, it runs rich as.. half a tank of fuel in about 100km.. its killing me.. let alone how much it will cost to fix up?

I reckon, if you Diy, around 100-400 depends on the parts missing/needed.
I can not tell accurate price because i do not know what is missing from the car.
What i can see is:
Dizzy ( distributor ) Seems it is using different Dizzy
Manifold and gasket
Fuel filter ( if missing )
Wiring
Ecu If has been changed for some reason.

I think I'm just going to take it to toda tomorow and see what they say..
It can't idle cause it conks out so the trip will be interesting to say the least haha

If toda can tune these Carbie, It would be better than Stock Oem injection. Do not expect to be perfect running these Carbie.

Well I was the idiot who brought it.. I can't get it to keep running. They done a rightfull stuff up. And I'm looking at big bucks to switch back to stock.. I regret buying it cause I don't have the knowledge or the cash to put into it..

Its seriously messed up and see no point in doing it.. 0 fuel economy.. a huge F**KED up headache.. and its a money pit for cash because ive had it 7 days today and been able to drive it... a max of 7 hours now....maybe..

There's not much I can do with the car in tbe shape its In.. basicly it needs an engine swap.. but I don't have the money..
Its at toda getting the fuel pump fixed..

My best option is to sell it to some who wants it and look for another =|

I want it to run.. i want to drive it.. its only money.. id love to do the engine swap.. but the only thing is i dont have the cash flow.. thats all thats stopping me :(
im not tight.. its my car, id put all my cash into my car even if it means im poor and i know that know one will ever see the money value.. but its my pride and joy :)

yeah i know im just saying but if you want a stock civic with that one you have, you have 2 choices.
1. go EFI with that engine its another 1k or even less
2. go back to carby with that engine ive seen alot of cars like that second hand carbys goes for under 150$ theres one on gumtree

the reason i say this because like you pm'd me. you want it gone for 2k ? thats a 1k loss from waht you bought so might as well keep it and dont loose that 1k then spending it on a more expensive civic. know what i mean >?

Im willing to sell it for 2k.. i brought the car for 3k and ive spent just over $1,100 on it trying to get it running with out headaches...

id loose 2k.. which i can handle.. 2k and ill be able to buy something else..
Theres no point dropping another engine in unless i go all out cause there would still be a chance of a defect which i don't want the hassle.. if im going to spend cash on it. id spend alot to make sure its worth it. not just a little bit here and there..

My engine bay has been hacked by cables that only suit my set up.. i dont have the time or knowledge to do it all myself.. thats the main point :)
