Hey all,

Real noob stuff, looking at buying a Racechrono system that has a bluetooth interface for data logging off the ECU. Just wondering, is my ITR OBDII?

Thanks guys

i think '98-'99 is obd2a, '00-'01 is obd2b.
a 99 dc2r i had was obd2a, cant confirm whether 00-01 itr is obd2b.

i should've elaborate, plugs are the same, but they're on different position.
they way racechrono explained it, seems like it will work on obd2a or obd2b regardless.
on the obd2 ecus, they use 3 plugs out of 4 available.

if you look on the picture ^, you can see that they use the same plugs but on different location.

nice man, thank you so much... so in effect the plug will slot in, it's just a matter of the number of pins used etc...

yea, connector b will be blank on obd2a
connector d will be blank on obd2b.

apparently only the 2000, 2001 audm dc2r had the obd2 diag connector plug, the 1999 and all pre 2000 dc2 obd2 missed out. You will have to use the DLC connector plug but confirm if what your trying to connect will fit it. As i know USA OBD2 rules were strict and applied to all vehicles where as australian rules where not uniformly applied.

Well that's a bit of a downer. I guess what we need to ascertain is whether my car being an MY00 but manufactured late 99 means it had or hasn't got it. If it did have it, where would I find it?

Dont think the 2000 Type R has the DLC plug. I know the dc5's do

Ok... I can't seem to find anything anywhere to tell me exactly a yay or nay... If it did have it would it be behind the kick panel in the passenger footwell?
