Exhaust clips

People are always asking about what exhaust to get for their car - typically sound is a big factor (yes we'd all like more power but prefer not to sound like ass ;) ). I thought I'd post a few sound clips to give people an idea of what they could end up with...
(BTW sorry bout the record levels ... was done with a mic hanging out my bedroom window!!)

My first attempt ... Exhaust Technology fitted cat-back consisting of Jun BL straight-thru canister (5" I think), mild steel mandrel-bent pipework (2.5" OD) ... and a resonator in there somewhere (although one would be forgiven for thinking otherwise!! :p )
Sounded awesome outside ... but headache inducing inside!!

Second attempt ... returned to Exhaust Technology (with a migraine!) and replaced straight-thru canister with a larger 7" canister.

I'm currently running with a Mugen twin-loop ... which I'm very happy with. Hopefully I can get around to recording some clips and posting those too.

Thought I'd leave you all with this one ... my dad being an idiot whilst I was trying to record. Funny thing is I didnt realise it was there until I played it back ... I was on the ground in hysterics!! :D

hahaha.. whatever exhaust ure dad was using it sounded the best by FAR :)

In all seriousness i prefered the 1st one, even tho it was abit too loud it sounded the nicest!

u got pics of the jun one?? ppl should put their exhaust notes on here.. helps wen ppl are wanting to get exhausts too.. im still trying to decide for my car..

I liked the first one too … and actually regret getting it replaced sometimes … especially when I listen to those clips (the shorter clips are actually taken from one long one where you can actually hear the exhaust screaming several streets away!). The sound was just too loud though … and had an unbearable drone inside the car!

The second exhaust was a lot quieter … but I didn’t like the sound at all and it still droned a little. This is why I ended up with the twinloop.

I’ll try and dig up some pics of the exhausts later…

i got my system done there also........

we started with the JunB.L systme and that was too droney on the inside.

Ended up with a XForce Twin Loop in the end and changed the JuB.L resonators to a WALKER........now its a sweet sound!

Do u have the genuine twin loop or the Xforce S10?

I've got the real meal deal - Mugen Twinloop cat-back system. I was actually after an Apexi WS or RS system that supposedly AutoBarn could get from a distributor. In the end they couldn't ... but the offending distributor offered a good deal on the twinloop. Was a bit pricey none-the-less, but by that stage I just wanted an exhaust that didnt give me a headache!!

I dont think the Xforce was available when I got mine (I could be wrong). I dont know if I would gone for it or not - in any case I'm really happy with the Mugen. I'll try post up some sound clips of it soon. Would be good to compare with the Xforce too - got any clips of yours?
