camera number plate

question for all.
sometime soon in the future, im planning to install on of these.

now the question. since it needs to replace one of the number plate lights.
is it legal to have 1 work number plate light or do you need them both working?
i cant find any info on this at all.

I think kit will still have number plate lights since it has the bulbs for the number plates.

From memory it should be an LED light on the camera rather than the T10 bulb.
this then goes into a grey area where depending on which cop you get you could be harrassed for modifying the number plate light. I kniw this was the case a couple of years ago.

example: you have ACT plates (blue font) you thrn chaage your licence plate lights to blue LEDs. That would obscure the visibility of your plate rah rah rah. From what i understand only stock is legal.

look for a custom fascia to fit a aftermarket single or double din AV unit. Should be around $30 for the fascia then whatever head unit you want.
as above its just a standard RCA video out, any car monitor should work with it.
