Mugen ecu chip question

Hey guys, ive just acquired an ecu which has a mugen chip in it, ive been experiencing a lot of lag from when the vtec actuates (on a b18c2) at 4 K something revs, but when the 2nd stage kicks in it does actually go hard.

Is it the chip that's causing some sort of lag between 4k and 5k crossover or could it be because im running no pod + stock eg catback?

im pretty happy with it atm but i just wanna get rid of that lag. might i mention that the lag actually feels more like a loss of power (like trying to do 40 in 5th gear)

Still using the stock c2 manifold? Or Skunk2 single-runner?

still using stock c2 mani, is that a common thing for it to act like that? :S

Sounds like your IAB isn't working properly.
Check to see the vacuum tank is connected & activates at 5700rpm (ish)
If it opens with the throttle, this is your problem.
