Hey i was wondering if Pod filters are legal in the ACT without having to get a custom enclosed box for it like in NSW. Have an of you experienced this. Should i get a pod eg a K&N over a panel filter?

This is covered under EPA. To them it's illegal if the pod is not enclosed OR is oiled which technically makes K&N illegal because they are oiled filters..

I've never had a prob with a filter pod in the ACT, not to say it's legal. Practice over theory usually wins out.

yes true its illegal if its oiled... but the only thing that makes pods legal is if they ARE inclosed... they're illegal if they're exposed.

Just a K&N pod, nothing flash. Like I said I'm not saying they are/aren't allowed here in the ACT. Just never been pulled up on it and been the car's been thru the pits 3 times.
