Upgrading Wheels & Offset

Hi guys wanting to upgrade from stock 16x6.5" wheels on a 97 prelude Vtir,
has anyone fit 17x8" with +33 offset or 17x9" with +35 offset??

Used this calculator and shows wheels will stick out 41mm more with 8's and 52mm more with 9's.
