I had the C drives a few years ago and they were ok. I then bought the RE001s and they were a much better tire in all conditions.
My brother has a set of the RE002s on his DC2 and they are very good as well (not very different from the RE001s).

The Potenzas easily win over the c drives in my opinion and i have used both. If you get the RE002s I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Good luck.

c.drive is not in the same class as re001/2
if your looking at yokohama in the same class as bridgestone adrenaline look at yokohama advan neova ad08

look in the suspension/handling (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?75-Suspension-Handling) section of the forums if you want more info

^

Incorrect, RE01-R/RE11 same class as AD07/AD08...

RE001/2 comparable to S-Drive...

^ you are correct. I should of done some research... before posting misleading info.
although ITR032 mentioned c-drives which are more of a passenger tyre.

ITR032 - in this instance maybe compare the yokohama s-drives to the bridgestone re002.

yeah i was looking at them and the c drives seemed more of an everyday tyre.. ill see what the tyre place says about the re001/2 and the s drives

the s-drives would be the better comparison for re002

if you are looking at c drives i would go the C-drive.2

they are alot better, see review here : http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?153927-Yokohama-C.drive-2-Review

i found the re001 to be very lacking on the dc2r. The chassis seemed to be under tyred. It was good for day to day travelling but were ridiculously terrible for spirited driving and track use. Even the original oem brake pads could not reach their potential with these tyres.

I would recommend the federal 595 rs-r. Theyre cheaper than the potenza and a lot stickier.

Hi guys,

Any more advice for the RE002? I am not tracking the car, just a daily cruiser, want long tyre wear and minimal road noise, guys who have the C.Drives moving to RE002, how's the wear?

The lack of grip.

Did you find the C.Drives wore down very quickly, too soft? What pressures did you have them at, I had mine at 36PSI fronts and 35PSI rears.

horses for courses , i guess .

C.drive are for everyday motorists & families looking for secure grip on wet roads. C.drive 2 really are a great improvement.

However OP's comparison is inaccurate. apples should be compared with apples and not oranges.

They "seem" to be somewhat lasting - however my issue with the tyre is that there is not much grip to be had after +/- 40 - 45 degrees of steering angle - when "abit" of speed is there (grip goes away too quickly with steering angle). The tyres were inflated to the recommended pressure. An acceptable tyre for a-b driving - but not for much else.

Hey Guys
Just abit of input, I have fitted the re002 in 225/50/16 on my eg, awesome tyres for there price (175$ a corner fitted & balaned ) held up very good at high speed cornering. Highly recommended if your going to use it as a daily/occasional tracking tyre

Yup I've found re002 pretty much perfect for all normal situations - even in wet they seem to be firm.
Once you hit the limit they will gradually slide , predictable. Only on the race track do they lose grip as they heat up then become like any other road tyre - no grip at all
