Hey everyone,
My starter motor is on its way out. I've been looking at replacements overseas [US] and I came across this.

http://www.oemacuraparts.com/honda/starter-motor-assy.-sm-71005-mitsuba/31200-raa-a61-honda/

and

OEM acura is more expensive yet considerably cheaper than Honda in Aus. I was leaning towards buying acura when I discovered the autoparts guys. They sell k24 starters even cheaper. Why? Are they dodgy or crappier? I want to spend the bare minimum. No gold plating gucci parts required. I want something that will work first time and wont give me any reason to get warranty cause that will involve me taking it back out, shipping it , waiting and getting it sent back. Too much headaches.

Also I have a k24 dc5. So that means I need a k24 starter and not a k20 right cause the added displacement warrants it? can anyone confirm please. Thanks.

Most likely whoever did the sawap retain the k20 starter motor so you'll need a k20 one. I have a spare lying around pm if you get stuck.
