Hey guys and gals hope we're all doing well

I've ordered a Kiddracing header for my DC5R and expect delivery within the next week/fortnight, the header, as we all know, is a cat-delete and comes with a test pipe. I want to stay legal and run a catalytic converter, however, I have nfi about sizing.
For those of you out there that have the Kiddracing header on a DC5R, and who are also running catalytic converters, what size cat do I get, 2.5", 3"?
My current catback is a HKS HiSilent, I'm not sure of the size but I know it was a direct bolt on to the stock catalytic converter.
Any help regarding this matter would be much appreciated, any links to cheap online cats or suggestions for reliable and hi-flow cats would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help, information and knowledge

Much Love

I have a headers , 2.5 inch cat back and I use a 2.5 inch cat. The brand I use is called Venom. You can find them on ebay. $180. How much a cat flows is based on its cel. With 100 cel being the highest flowing, then 200 cel , 300 .. You will also need to drill a hole for you 02 sensor. I believe its the secondary. Unless you have a Kpro or any aftermarket ecu where you can disable the sensor or you will get check engine lights.

you should match the cat with the cat-back piping...try to get 100 cel too.

So would something like this fit? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/High-Flow-2-5-BOKKA-200-CPSI-Catalytic-Converter-/330543612944?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf5ef4410#ht_500wt_922

What about exhaust flanges, can I use the ones that came on the test pipe?

yes that would suit. You can get your guy to just cut off both flanges either end , grind off the weld and reuse them. Flanges are abit expensive so why not !

Those cats your looking at are 200 cel. If I had to buy a 200 cel I'd pick the 2nd choice. Seems to have a sensor port already made.

DakDak - you're right, i'm leaning towards that one as well due to price and the sensor port.
Question though, it's 12" in length - will this be too long/short?

Maybe too long. But you can trim the sides down. Its just extra fat really.
