The engine start blowing smoke at high Rpm, Did wet Compression test and 2 Cylinders compression went too high, so piston rings seems bad :|. So i want to change the the piston rings. Also i want to mill the head a lil bit to increase the compression.
How much should i mill the head?
what piston rings fits d16a8? because i did not find for this engine?
Any Oem piston increase the compression that fit this engine?
I have never replaced piston rings before, so i need some information about that. I know should hone the cylinder. what else should i take care of
Thanks in advance.

specific parts youll need:
-piston ring compressor $30 +-
-feeler gauge $10
-micrometer 3-4", 0.0001" reading $50-$150
-filer to file piston ring $20?
if bore still good, no need to hone.
you need to check end gap clearance with new piston ring about 1-2" in cyl bore from top view.
when putting piston ring, make sure the gaps arent in any load axis.
need that micrometer to check if piston dia. is still within service limit or if piston need replacing.
i dont think milling/changing piston to inc compression is a good idea.
costs involved, might as well do engine swap. you should keep cost to a minimum.
piston rings gonna cost abt $35ea
apparently you cant reuse head studs, so thats another $70
head gasket $70
just changing piston rings gonna cost you about $500 inc. fluids.
how much more you wanna put in?
*all cost are from US pricing exc. shipping.

Serious Now, 500$, wow that's a new engine.
I will get piston rings, head gasket, piston ring compressor,Feeler gauge
Will Mill the head,
Will Re-use the head studs.
Will borrow micrometer.
I reckon will cost me around 300$ include fluids.
I know i Can get a new engine, but i want to do this job, that's why I am taking this way

Do a port job if you want while you're at it.
$500 won't get you a new engine. It'll get you a used engine though, which would be as rooted as your current one. Fix it up good and the A8 actually pulls very nicely when fresh :)
Maybe look at FJ Distributors:

75mm bore Hastings piston rings. They only have them listed for SOHC but maybe email them and see if they have DOHC. They're both 75mm.
